More radiation...

For those of you who are keeping track of dates etc... Ron will be receiving radiation on his brain Wednesday (April 3rd) afternoon.  Like I said earlier he has 5 spots, they will be able to radiate all 5 on the same day.  15 min. per spot so it will take a while and he will be in the mask which is screwed to the table with his head in it! Not a very fun process, but we are very glad he only has to do it once!

I hope everyone has a fantastic Easter! We sure are the weather is wonderful and spring is in the air! It is spring break for our little grandchildren and they are coming for the week! That will definitely help to make spirits high in our home! Don't forget to continue to pray for Ron he will need all the prayers, love and support as he goes through this week.  Then more waiting for more test results before his IL2. Oh well thats the way it goes!

Good News!!!! March 26, 2013

This is the first doctor visit that we have gone to in all of our time that we actually came out crying with tears of joy! This will be a brief post as I don't have a lot of details however I just wanted to let everyone know what we do know as of now....

The doctor was amazed when he looked at Ron's scan and found that all the blood that was there in the first scan is now GONE! Yep and they have a great view of the tumors which by the way are still so very small! So they will be able to do the radiation on them 5 in all, on the same day and he will only need to do this ONE time!!! It will be a long day for Ron but to only have to go through it once is such a huge blessing!!!

Not sure as to when this will happen, they are working on timing and of course insurance and all that fun stuff, however, they said it would be by the end of this week or the first of next week.  This will give him time to recoup before he goes back for the 3rd round of IL2.

I have no question in my mind that The Lord's hand is in all things, and I am so thankful that He saw fit to help this "bump" in the road along in the right direction.  I also know that the power of prayer is real! And am so thankful for all the many people who have been praying on Ron's behalf it works!! I know it and have seen it work on Ron's behalf today.  So Thank you so much to you all.  Don't stop!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend! And hope that we all remember what it is all about! Our Savior, his life as well as his sacrifice on behalf of us all.  How thankful Ron and I are for his Sacrifice on our behalf. Once again THANK YOU!

A little bragging from Pop and G-ma:)

It's been a fun weekend so far.  Our middle grand-daughter turns 4 on Monday so we went to Payson and spent some time with her on Saturday.  Lots of fun was had we combined her birthday party with our Easter Egg hunt and had a great time.  Here are some fun pictures of the events.

The Birthday Girl Grace Susan and her "snuggly"

Me, Ron and Grace We love love our girls!

The kids getting ready to go on the hunt!!! Fun Stuff!!!

After the hunt....they found lots of good stuff!!!

Grace had a fun party!!!!

One thing that I know for sure is that when we spend time with our precious grand-daughters we may be tired but they ALWAYS make us happy!! Maggie the baby is pretty much obsessed with Ron she loves to kiss him and play patty-cake with him I would say he is pretty fond of her too!  We have been told the most important thing is to spend time with family and the ones we love and that is what we have been doing! It has been so wonderful.

It's a big day on Monday (MRI day) and even bigger on Tuesday when we get the results back from the test.  So we again ask for all the prayers you can give us this weekend as we are so hopeful for some good results!  As always we know that it is in the Lords hands and He hasn't let us down yet.  We know He is taking care of Ron.

President Thomas S. Monson said this, "There will be times when you will be frightened and discouraged.  You may feel that you are defeated.  The odds of obtaining victory may appear overwhelming.  At times you may feel like David trying to fight Goliath.  But remember--David did win!  Courage is required to make an initial thrust toward one's coveted goal, but even greater courage is called for when one stumbles and must make a second effort to achieve."

Ron will keep on fighting as long as he has fight in him. I know he can win!  Thanks for all the Love.

Waiting......

Just a quick note... We are still in the waiting period for Ron healing and working and enjoying being home and able to do what he wants to do.  We have been able to celebrate grandchildren's birthdays spend time with our kids, do our church service as well as regular job.  It has been good.  We will be celebrating our middle granddaughter Grace's birthday this weekend and then on Monday Ron goes in for his MRI and will meet with the radiation doctors on Tuesday.  It is our prayer that he will have healed enough from the brain hemorrhage that they will be able to do the radiation on the brain and then prepare for his next dose of IL2.  As always its subject to change depending on how Ron's body has responded to his last treatments.  We continue to prayer for blessings on his behalf and thank all those who are doing the same.  I will update as soon as I know anything more.

March updates....

Recover would be the word for this month.  Ron has been trying to recover from the radiation treatment that he had the end of February, It really zapped him haha! It just really made him tired and and he's been trying to also get over his head aches.  All in all doing well just everything takes time.

On a more fun note our youngest granddaughter had a birthday and we went to Provo to meet the kids there and have a little celebration for her cake, pizza, and granddaughters equal lots of fun!!

Here is the three of them looking a bit suspicious I would say!!!

Maggie before her cake.....

Maggie after her cake.  She loved every minute of it!!!

She is a very loved little girl!!!!

As for Ron, again he's doing well we are just waiting for all the past treatments to heal so he can begin it all over again.  He goes in at the end of the month for another MRI and will then meet with the doctor to determine if the brain is healed enough to receive the radiation.  We are hopeful that he has been given enough time that it will be possible. Then they will give him another week or two of recovery from that, so they can then have the CT scan and again more waiting and when we find out the results from that he will be given dose 3 of the IL2 which is what we want to hear! So there is not a lot of results to give at this point just lots of hope and waiting!

I had someone ask me a few days ago, so is Ron just all better now? No I wish!!  He does look good and one of my friends said he was really good at putting on his "press on face" when he needs to.  I would say that is pretty true.  He still has a long road ahead of him, but he is amazing and is always positive about everything that is going on.

So yes we are pushing forward and doing all that we can.  Do we still need your prayers, and faith the answer is a big YES!!!! We truly know that prayer works and has worked on Ron's behalf. So I would say please don't stop praying for my dear husband he needs them all!! Thank you all so much for all the love and support that you give us it means so very much! I will keep you updated as soon as I know anything else but for now its a waiting game.  Praying that everything is working and healing the way it should!!!
