Friday the 13th December 2013

We have been having lots of good days and yes some bad days! But Ron makes the best of them all.  .  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have been preparing for the big Christmas Day.  The kids have been coming and going, and we look forward to Logan and Lauren coming the day after Christmas.

Some of the fun things we have been able to do this holiday season….

Traditional dinner with our good friends Mel and Vivian Hill
Always a good time!
We took the girls to see Frozen.  It is a darling movie and we liked it as much as the girls!!
Ice cream by the fireplace while wet hair dries, as it is snowing outside!!
Maggie just loves her pop and won't leave his side!!!

The Highlight of my holiday has been the blessing of going to see and hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert they do each Christmas season.  It is very difficult to get tickets for this.  You have to send in your request and then cross your fingers that your name is chosen. They notify you by e-mail and you can only request 4 tickets.  They do 3 performances and they are always sold out.  So of course I tried to get tickets this year and was not so lucky! But Lindsey also tried and she got them!!!! I was so excited when she asked if Ron and I wanted to go with her, of course we did!!! Then the next trick was for Ron to feel well enough to go.  Turns out the concert started at 8:00 pm which is about the time Ron is going to bed these days! But he was willing to give it a try! I know he did it just for me because he knew how I wanted to go.  We  made it and it was as wonderful as I thought it would be!!!

Ron and I waiting the concert to begin:)

Just a bit of info on the concert.  Deborah Voigt was the guest singer.  She was amazing!!! I'm not a real opera fan and I think she may have changed my mind she was so wonderful!!! Loved every minute of her songs.

They also had John Rhys-Davies who told the story of Dickens Christmas, and then told the story in Luke 2 of the birth of the Savior so good!!! Just a most wonderful evening!!! Ron enjoyed it as well which really made me even more happy!!

They also had an organ solo which was so amazing I can't even begin to describe it!! If you can't tell it was a really great evening!!

My sister was able to get tickets too:)

Back to reality…. Ron getting his infusion….
Well it is Friday and when we get home we will have 3 little cute girls waiting for us:) That always makes us happy!!  Ron will have his CT scan next week.  Then we will see if the drug he has been on has worked or not. It will be a very telling day as always.

We are so blessed, and very thankful for all the Love and support that we get from so many people!!! Thank you for all the support.  We will continue to fight and pray that we will find the right treatment for Ron.  And thank everyone for their continued prayers!!!

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
